I would not call this prepping - like they prepping everyone that it was going to happen.

The way I view the above articles is that when people in the future go back in history to study what happened, they will find these articles and think that everything that occurred is legitimate and not some conspiracy.

Look at the collapse of the Holy Roman Empire. The U.S. was modeled in every meaningful way after the Holy Roman Empire. Last I knew... the Holy Roman Empire was modeled after Babylon. The collapse of the Holy Roman Empire had numerous civil wars. Some which were pretty gosh darn terrible. It took about fourteen hundred years for the entire Holy Roman Empire to cease to exist as we know it to be. So it is quite possible the same or something similar will happen to America.

Perhaps instead there will be some widespread infrastructure damage that limits available bandwidth, and internet will be reduced to "essential internet."

Yes, OP. Have you not taken notice of those bizarre metallic electrical poles that been crisscrossing the U.S. since sometime in the Year 2020? There is at least one such stretch in my town. I am fairly certain this has up to everything to do with that Stimulus Package that Trump signed into Law last year that dealt with our nation's infrastructure. Quite alot of money was put into new infrastructure. I figure most likely this new infrastructure is the 5G enabled spy tech that is meant and designed to ceaselessly peer into everyone's daily lives even into our most private moments.

Not for long, it's too much a part of the modern economy. What they will do over time though is heavily regulate the internet.

You won't be able to access medical or pharmaceutical information if you're not a licensed doctor or pharmacist. You won't be able to access scientific information unless you are an academic or corporate research.

You get the idea. We have licenses and permits now that allow us to do specialized work, that will extend to the internet and information.

No. No smoke signals. Seriously, they will give away your position for miles around. That is suicide in an Apocalyptic situation. The best you can really do in an Apocalyptic situation is simple.

- avoid populated areas
- secure as many resources as you can
- get used to night time and darkness as your new best friends if they are not have such places in your Heart already
- do NOT willy nilly trust strangers
- if you have a family and/or friends trust them at your own peril
- however, if you do have any family and/or friends try to stick with Christian principles as best as y'all can muster
- know you will always be hunted for the rest of your life
- you may have to join the New American Resistance Movement just to enhance your survival probabilities

Good luck... you will ceaselessly need it.

I believe it is very possible that they will shut down the internet to the general public after the SHTF.

They discuss this plan in Event 201 (that took place in October 2019) - Listen starts at 8 minutes 15 seconds:

After SHTF and people start dropping like flies, nobody will know what’s going on or be able to exchange information.

Time to go back to Ham radios?
 Quoting: norakat147

Not a Ham junkie, but I know like in Cali...they took down the “repeaters” I think they are called, so you can t really rely the messages anymore, simply talk to people nearby. If Cali is doing it, I’m sure others are planning something similar.

Anyone with some experience know what the state of Ham radio is these days?
 Quoting: pish

This is not quite true. The State of California does not allow for private repeaters on State government property. You can still put them up on private property and follow the FCC rules. Repeaters are rather expensive and require some maintenance.
That said, in a SHTF world, I have no idea how many repeaters would stay up and running. Either they have no power OR certain elements might "take them out".
Practice communicating on simplex. Radio to radio(s). You will not get the distance but it is a reliable type of comm. Also, practice with low power. You might have to power up with an inverter if the electricity goes out.

Just use a 4th dimensional CB radio.

[link to beechat.network (secure)]
 Quoting: John Locke

Got the CB but no antenna. verysad
 Quoting: Restless Native

Then stop waiting for lightening to strike. Time might be short. Go to a local truck stop. Purchase a Wilson magnet
antenna for about $45. Also pick up Wilson 12v DC cigarette
style power cord for about $15. That would be for your
automobile.
Not the best set up but it is easy for most people. The
magnet antenna can also be for your house if you place it outside. Get it on a large thin piece of metal for a
ground plane. A mobile style CB radio can plug into your
120v home outlet with a small converter. At 4 watt AM or
12 watt single side band, 10 amp would be plenty. A $35 unit that works with the Wilson cigarette style cord for the car.

Telephone landlines have been prohibitively expensive for decades now for alot of Americans. I heard that you have to have some sort of special license and/or permit to even use a ham radio. If so... screw it. It is the end of the world as we know it. Fuck the rules, really.

CB and shortwave radio... good luck with that. Smoke signals... that is bound to get really rough when it comes to sexting. Walkie talkies... I think those signals can be traced, something similar with ham radios, but much more easily with walkie talkies.
 Quoting: darkwolf007

Walkie talkies are just hand held transmitters. Most are in the VHS or UHF bands because of performance such as antenna length. I highly recommend the new FRS units at 2 watts. Good for the neighborhood area. Try and get the Motorola brand before China starts making them. Yes, Motorola was sold to a Hong Kong firm some months ago.

Also, Uniden, Cobra, and Midland still make the classic CB walkie talkies for 11 meters. Not as portable but they retail from $45 to $100.

Soon to be useless.

They will track all your purchases on thier digital currency. I suspect parts, primers, ammo, powder, anything to deal with a gun...will raise your healthcare premiums, your house , and life insurance, and put you on a no fly list. That’s if it’s available for purchase at all, which will either require a validated vaccination, high social credit score, or a lot of wealth becuase it will be taxed highly.

They will shut down the internet, so when it comes back up, your “Multi-Pass” will be required to logon. No more VPNs, no more anonymous searching, buying, posting.

Pretty sure Nashville was a test run. We were in rural area with 5g already for more than a year and pretty much everyone uses ATT. It didn't go out during the event, it went out three hours later because I was on here when I found out about it. Then phones and net went out. For three days here, at Christmas. Most of the stores were closed because duh credit card machines, etc. A few gas stations were open cash only. The people who still had service out here use dish, I guess? No one on our street had it, except a neighbor who is an exec at a big corp. and he wouldn't share with us. Security.

That would be a big 10-4. The secret of hand held units are: 1. battery, 2. antenna. Since the gubermint restricts the antenna on FRS to being FIXED....the bigger, the better. Like those DeWalt models. A bigger battery gives more time in the field plus has more amps. Limited to 2 watts, details matter. That said, in suburbs those things can probably get nearly a mile range. Does not seem like much but while sitting in YOUR house, you can talk to someone in THEIR house several blocks away.

Note: some units are limited to .5 watts across the board. Others only 1 watt. Get the 2 watts. Check the specs.

Thank you, BadBrad.
Conspiracy Theorist is nothing more than a derogatory title used to dismiss a critical thinker.

A time is coming when men will go mad,
and when they see someone who is not mad,
they will attack him, saying,
'You are mad; you are not like us."

Believe nothing you hear and only half of what you see.

I'm just a product of insufficient modality.

Humans of Earth! I have come in peace. You need not fear me. I mean you no harm. However, it may be important to know that most of you will not survive the next 24 hours. And those of you who do survive will be enslaved and experimented on. You should in no way take any of this personally — it's just business!
