magnet antenna can also be for your house if you place it outside. Get it on a large thin piece of metal for a
ground plane. A mobile style CB radio can plug into your
120v home outlet with a small converter. At 4 watt AM or
12 watt single side band, 10 amp would be plenty. A $35 unit that works with the Wilson cigarette style cord for the car.
