I have many IT guys I know who have said it is impossible.
Think about it. The only way is to take down the whole
electrical grid and stop all electricity to stop
generating to take them all down.
All servers are not connected to one switch.
Quoting: 1guynAz . it is possible, blow up few main routing hubs and transatlantic cable and it would be possible. Guy from RV tried it but didn't have big enough boom. Plus it would have to be donw in 5-6 places in USA and few more in the world. Elon musk is working very hard to eliminate that weak point, by sending hundreds of satalites evey week to space. .
