Could MESH Wifi networks be part of a solution? Curiously, there was a MESH Linux distro of which I found a Live CD on the net more than a decade ago which is not maintained anymore, which is strange. I don't remember what is was called now, but it was based on the Porteus distro (something like Byzantium?). [ link to www.howtogeek.com (secure)] That’s an interesting thought - Having neighboring Wifi systems in proximity connect.. Is that even possible? I should say it is possible... the MESH technology appears to exist. It was called Byzantium. I checked a couple years ago but found something else is called Byzantium now - not the MESH distro anymore.
