They apparently intend to bore the jury to death. Defense examined the previous prosecution witness twice as long as prosecution. The prosecution doesn’t have a case so they seem to want to fluff it up with irrelevant information. It is like a high school kid writing a report including extraneous information to get to the required number of pages.
