Yes. Got MRSA on my eyebrow after getting them waxed. I had a bit of dry skin I flicked off my brow and 3 days later I was going into septic shock when I got to the ER. My head was swollen up on one side. I found it rather comical that I looked like I was turning into an alien. The nurses and docs appreciated my humor but my husband did not. Anyhoo, I don't even remember leaving the ER and going to the icu. I don't remember being moved out of icu. They told me that for 4 days I was not responding to any combination of drugs. I wasn't beating it. I couldn't stay conscious long enough to talk to my mom on the phone. That night I had a strange experience in the hospital. I felt someone place their hand on the top of my head. I called out to them, asked who was there. I thought it was God or my grandfather whom had passed away. I am not sure whom it was but I felt immense love and warmth. The next morning the doc said I finally had a response to the medications and could get emergency surgery to save me. After surgery I was no longer septic and left the hospital after a few days recovery.
