Quoting: RetiredSeniorChief i often wonder what it must be like to cheat death for a living, especially special forces. i wonder if it's part of the reason the selection process is so tough they're trying to find the "natural survivors" the guys whose bread always lands butter up. They throw lots of people at it. The ones who continually survive are the bread landing butter up. Luck or skill or fate. I doubt the military cares which. yes i think about WW2 for instance, that guy who stormed the beaches on D-Day and made it to Berlin and went on to live to 96 or whatever...
