Baitun Nur (also spelled Baitunnur or Baitun Noor) (Arabic for "House of Light") is an Ahmadiyya mosque in Calgary, Alberta. Baitun Nur is the largest mosque in Canada.


Ahmadiyya is an Islamic revival or messianic movement originating in Punjab, British India, in the late 19th century. It is not considered actual muslim by some muslims including the Sunni who didn't attend the grand opening of the mosque.

No police fence around that place.


There is at least one synagogue in Calgary too.
