They couldn't have a different title. They are playing on folks who like the original and continues tuning in. A different title would call for originality. Can't have that in these woke days.

Original from the 50s was good Riverdale - remake of the Archies, Betty worships demons and Mr Lodge is a organized crime boss Walker - new young guy in the remake, so far no demonic themes, might be OK but opposite Young Sheldon on CBS Charmed - remake, same witch theme and more. I expect a Hardy Boys reboot next. I read all the books 40 years ago.
