Sadly if China attacks and then invades Taiwan is toast since the US, "IF" it choses to get involved, won't be able to substantially enter the fight until it is virtually over.

Taiwan main island is 100 miles from mainland China.
Taiwan is 5300 miles from Hawaii, 6500 miles from the US west coast, and 1700 miles from Guam.

I guess they should rename the Quad Alliance.

Quad Alliance - U.S., Australia, Japan, and India
+ S Korea, + Taiwan of course.

That makes 6 countries. and I believe the Philippines would help out as well, once they realized they are not alone.
China has been really been sticking it to the Philippines lately.
(Stole their ocean rights, stole their reefs, and now have a giant fleet of ships parked in Taiwan (Edit: should have been PI fishing waters), fishing waters.

I’ve stated this before, but the most likely scenario seems to be this: the Chinese will wait until Russia invades Ukraine, keeping the US occupied in the East. They’ll unleash NK on the South, keeping the Koreans, the US, Japan and Austrialia occupied in the Pacific. Finally, they’ll instigate Pakistan and India. Taiwan stands alone.

Equally likely, China cashes in some of their chips with corrupt Joe and the US stands by and does nothing while Taiwan is overrun.

SK recently (as stated in one of these videos), said it would support the quad alliance. Not sure what that would mean. I think they have their plate full just dealing with the North and keeping their economy strong in the face of this crazy world.

They do have the world's best tank though, so a few of those might get sold/transferred.

How comes all of Sudden Dutch on here are all Military experts, they generally couldn't fight their way out of a paper bag, to be honest I thought the Netherlands was one big pavement from Germany to France.

My timing is that China will NOT move at least until after the time scheduled for the Chinese Olympics (Feb 2022) - UNLESS the Ukraine /Russia event turns into a total fiasco for the US this year (by dragging the US into an open conflict there) OR something equivalent happens to the US in the Middle East this year.

My projected prime time for a move is actually mid 2022 though others I follow say late this year on one side and others say 2026-2027 on the other side.

If one only looks at China's naval and aircraft construction timetable it looks like Xi is aiming for late 2025 before he plans to move, but events can accelerate that timetable if they provide an early opening for China ... but I think world events as they play out will still favor my long ago (20+ years ago) projected mid 2022 time frame.

That LIE was that if we lifted COMMUNIST CHINA through trade and commerce into PROSPERITY, they would see the benefits of FREEDOM, and would throw off the Dictatorship.

They did put in a large order to the US for some pretty serious firepower. maybe a year ago?

That would be the perfect opportunity for the North
to Roll on them while they're busy saving Taiwan.

The loss of south korea alone likely dooms our ability to keep taiwan free and not smoking wreckage.

Losing taiwan either because china takes it intact or destroys so much infrastructure and wafer fab facilities as to make it useless to the quad alliance IMMEDIATELY puts the western free world into a downward spiral!

Especially if south korea is more than just neutral and not getting involved.

Sounds like they need to serouisly bump that 2% defense spending figure to 20%
