I have been an on-and-off investor in physical precious metals. For years I had a network of brokers and vendors I would buy from and sell to.
This month I decided to buy some bars of silver for the first time in some years.
Nothing. Nada. Zip. Every store, every dealer, every metalsmith is tapped the fuck out.
First time this has been the case since I started buying and selling metals a decade and a half ago.
What the literal fuck?

Couldn’t you instead just rush in to your local jeweler chain store and buy up that amount in silver jewelry? Same stuff, no? I was in one recently. Stock under the glass appeared plentiful.......
