Body builders can't be wrong when they eat 5/6 small meals a day with the least body fat %. I've never seen a faster look that good either.

My metabolism also speeds up when I eat more often. The digestion keeps the body warm as well, shut it down for an extended period of time body will be cold and start storing calories for energy.

People that fast might find some health benefits if they are older and not very active. Fasting has put me over the edge with energy and not being able to sleep at night when I did 1 meal a day. My body was in starvation mode wanting to hunt for food but it was just down the hall in the kitchen and I could not control that primal instinct with a refrigerator available.

Eating 5 small meals a day has me sleeping like a baby, 9-10 hours a night, feeling very warm and still energized without feeling like a meth head. Maybe some people like that meth feeling.

I'm sure it's different for everyone but I've tried both and I'm never hungry or hangry this way. My mood is more stable probably because hormones aren't swaying from one extreme to another. I've heard fasting isn't good for women either because of the hormones. It seemed to be that way for me at least.

His genetics may have a role in maintaining that mass. I've seen 6 year old African American children with more muscle mass than a teenage boy with testosterone.

You can do both.

Fast two days a week. The rest of the time eat several small, whole food, low carb meals.

Takes an extraordinary amount of discipline though.

I just want to be lean. Not ripped but tone and elongated. When I work out I bulk up. When I ease up, it goes straight to flab. Additionally, working out increases my cortisol and depletes my B vitamins. I get edgy and depressed. WTF!? Can anyone explain that?

when you take a break from working out and start again the muscles have memory and you should be able to gain that pump back. Did you have you have a hormone test? It could be the foods you are eating. My husband bulks and gets a tummy, he doesn't ever cut lol. That will increase the waist. I take a super b complex supplement daily.

What are you eating? Working out will make you hungry, and you could be over eating?

5-6x per day, every 2.5-3 hours on the Provida plan (6 week body makeover) - best diet ever! Your metabolism revs up hard til you feel you've taken a speed pill or something. Lost 10 pounds in three days, and more (and was even sneaking wine which slowed but didn't stop the weight loss).

The timed intervals and food for your body type really worked.

Combine with Pilates for a year and add 3/4" to your height (yoga does same).

the working knowledge is t eat 5 small meals a day . they process faster and condition your metabolism to speed up to process them almost all day long .

Fasting ok if you live in your folks basement and dont have to work . But if you work you really need fuel for energy .

I eat a small amount every 2 or 3 hours, half a sandwich, small plate of steamed veg, not high cal stuff, some protein but not too much.

Fact:

The brain recognizes sugar, regardless, and will produce insulin to accommodate it. Eventually you will become insulin resistant.

This is why people who drink diet soda still get type to diabetes.

Tasting it is eating it from a hormonal standpoint.

If you eat too many meals a day or snack between meals, you keep you insulin levels raised in the blood. This is not good, and causes the body to store fat and excess calories as fat.

Eat your meals in a narrow window 8 hours and fast the rest of the day. Don't eat sugar or drink sugar drinks, lastly lower your carbs to keep your insulin levels lower. Once you get the body burning fat instead of carbs, you are not hungry between meals. The body does some amazing things when you are not constantly feeding it. 24 hour fast every so often allows your body to repair itself.

I do cardio on an empty stomach but I need carbs before lifting weights otherwise I poop out. And whoever said you can do keto and lift is a liar. I did a super high fat meal before lifting a couple months ago and I had to stop or else I was going to puke. fucking ruined my day.

Lots of small meals means you are never giving your digestion a break
You need rest from digestion --just like you need sleep

Looking Good-- doesnt equate to a long life
Body builders die like flies

Fat is important for brain health
Vegetarianism weakens the heart
People who dont eat enough animal fat have all sorts of problems--eg Alzheimers--seizures etc

I eat whatever I want really . I just dont eat alot and im doing ok .


I think thats the best way to do it . You dont need alot of food to live unless youre doing heavy labor and even then that whole foot long hoagie should last you the rest of the day .

I like substituting ensure drinks for a meal too .
