The digestion keeps the body warm as well, shut it down for an extended period of time body will be cold and start storing calories for energy. People that fast might find some health benefits if they are older and not very active. Fasting has put me over the edge with energy and not being able to sleep at night when I did 1 meal a day. My body was in starvation mode wanting to hunt for food but it was just down the hall in the kitchen and I could not control that primal instinct with a refrigerator available. Eating 5 small meals a day has me sleeping like a baby, 9-10 hours a night, feeling very warm and still energized without feeling like a meth head. Maybe some people like that meth feeling. I'm sure it's different for everyone but I've tried both and I'm never hungry or hangry this way. My mood is more stable probably because hormones aren't swaying from one extreme to another. I've heard fasting isn't good for women either because of the hormones. It seemed to be that way for me at least. It could be the foods you are eating. My husband bulks and gets a tummy, he doesn't ever cut lol. That will increase the waist. I take a super b complex supplement daily. What are you eating? Your metabolism revs up hard til you feel you've taken a speed pill or something. Lost 10 pounds in three days, and more (and was even sneaking wine which slowed but didn't stop the weight loss). Eventually you will become insulin resistant. This is why people who drink diet soda still get type to diabetes. Tasting it is eating it from a hormonal standpoint. The body is complicated. |

This is not good, and causes the body to store fat and excess calories as fat. Eat your meals in a narrow window 8 hours and fast the rest of the day. Don't eat sugar or drink sugar drinks, lastly lower your carbs to keep your insulin levels lower. Once you get the body burning fat instead of carbs, you are not hungry between meals. The body does some amazing things when you are not constantly feeding it. 24 hour fast every so often allows your body to repair itself. Good Luck |

And whoever said you can do keto and lift is a liar. I think thats the best way to do it . You dont need alot of food to live unless youre doing heavy labor and even then that whole foot long hoagie should last you the rest of the day . I like substituting ensure drinks for a meal too . |
