It's horrible. I'm a Canadian stuck abroad and I couldn't come home last year for work reasons.

Now, I have no idea when I can go home without the threat of being detained and having to pay thousands to stay in some government hotel.

My sister is pregnant, my 95-year-old grandmother is always asking when she can see me and I can't do much about it.

I'm usually the type to say "F it" and just bypass the rules, but from what I'm hearing they are incredibly strict at the airports.

I don't mind paying a 3k fine if I have to (which won't hold up in court anyways) but I don't want to face all these legal issues and crazy government restrictions if I don't have to.
