No need to answer, I just want to be in a space and have the time to honor such a story... The day we got Oscar (at the pet store where we had gotten River), a Blue and Gold Macaw had grabbed and flung Oscar's friend. The bird was okay, but traumatized, and we could tell Oscar was, too. We had been thinking about getting another bird and that event spurred us to take Oscar home that day... she seemed happy to leave the place where the trauma occurred.
