When some of the food-supply chain got stomped on by the closure of restaurants due to Covid, I hoped the larger amount of food left over for grocery stores would lower prices. No such luck.

Soon you won't be allowed to pay any amount of money for groceries, unless you get "vaccinated".

The Government did not print more money to cover that increase....

We buy a grass fed beef each year. Same price as last year. We stovk up on frozen veges on sales and have a garden and 9 fruit trees.

My wife cans tomatoes, peaches and pears.

We buy two flats of western oregon peaches each year. Part of a fund raiser for the girls HS basketball team. Sweet deal for a good cause.

We have 14 chickens. Farm eggs to gather each day. We will get a couple more hens today.

I like Safeway's Just-4-u program, they always throw something free or dirt cheap to get you into the store, I pop in and only purchase the sale stuff

then head over to Winco, it's the cheapest supermarket in So Oregon, where again, I focus my laser vision on any specials

I use a list, but it says stuff like "veggies" - get what's on sale

"meat" - ditto

I cook from scratch, no prepared stuff, have a garden, barter with neighbors

I keep good track of my budget, and I'm actually spending less on groceries now than before the scamdemic, because I shop much less frequently
