Yeah, this puts the lie to the idea that the phone call between biden and putin on Monday or Tuesday went well...

It also drives a stake in the heart of the idea that us cancelling that black sea transit window was about reducing tensions much less the idea that us cancelling actually will reduce tensions.

The problem is that washington doesn't want to reduce tensions.

They want war and they'll do whatever it takes to get it.

The only thing in question here is what Putin will do in response to the corner he's being backed into.


On a totally unrelated note, gee China sure has gotten oddly quiet all the sudden. I'm sure that's not ominous at all.
