Bacteria have a range of adaptability to resist drugs but they never turn into a different species, they're still bacteria like they were a million years ago. Eyes come in different colors just like people, flowers, birds but nothing ever turned into anything else, (except of course dogs turned into whales and dinosaurs mutated upward into birds). Ask a 90 year old man if his cells are mutating upwards or mutating/devolving downwards, how does that fit into your mutation make it more better beliefs?.

There are millions of species of bacterial you fool. Bacteria is a domain, just like plants and animals. Saying it's still bacteria is like saying birds are still animals even though they evolved from dinosaurs.

Bacteria do have beneficial mutations, and different species of bacterial do evolve. These are facts you can't just ignore.

No, it still wouldn't make sense because mutating and aging aren't the same thing. Also, you can't simply categorise a mutation as upward or downward. Blue eyes for example.

Do you finally get it? A mutation happens when one or nucleotides are changed during the replication of DNA. To know if the 90 year Olds cells are mutating, I would need to sequence their genome, not simply ask them.

Is any of this getting through to you?

You would have to sequence the genome and compare it to an earlier sample. Asking would accomplish nothing.

DNA uses 4 nucleic based, A,G, T and C. Mutation is a specific thing where one or more bases are changed. A becomes g, t becomes C etc.

Your cells Don't just mutate constantly.

Compare a 90 year old with his 15 year old photo. Figure out if he's gradually mutating upward.

Listen to me, please. In order to know what mutations have occurred, you need to see which nucleotides have changed. This can be done by sequencing the genome.

We have the technology to count mutations. We can see if A has become G. You can't determine this just by guessing or looking at a photo. Your cells aren't constantly mutating as you age.
