Don't neglect your LYMPHATIC SYSTEM, especially right now | |

Generally movement and muscular activity is good, but there is also a massage which will do the trick (the Vodder system IIRC). Basically, it consists in gently stroking the limbs in the direction of the heart (not literally stroking though, some slight pressure is applied - this will disengorge the lympathic vessels and nodes). You should look it up though. |

Massages are expensive and if this type of massage you are advocating is anything like other massages, it is not like you just get ONE and it lasts forever. You have to be consistent and get them regularly -- some of us don't have that kind of income..... But thank you for the info and I intended by reply to be with all due respect, fwiw.....peace. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 79415005 Singapore 04/19/2021 04:20 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | You will understand though (especially if you are disabled and are taking little exercize) that you do it best daily (and I think you can even do it several times a day, it takes only a few minutes) as it keeps a system flowing that serves to get your body rid of toxins. So in actual fact, if it comes down to it, lymphatic massage could even be considered a rejuvenating system (wih limited potentialy however due to other things going on in your body working against it - diet, mental/emotional influences etc.). |

But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear." Marcus Tullius Cicero |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77996959 Rule # 1, Brush towards the heart. why towards? you always want to dry brush in the direction of the heart because of the mechanics of the circulatory system in the body, basically. so you would start at the ankles and brush UP the legs, or if you are starting at your wrist, you'd brush UP the arm, toward the heart. every brush stroke, no matter what body part you are brushing, should be directed toward the heart. it is not recommended to do the chest/neck/face that I have ever seen (but please do your own research) because the skin is much thinner in those areas of the body. Hope that helps! |

(OP) User ID: 79875745 United States 04/20/2021 10:36 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My doc said my limp nodes were enlarged slightly do you think the rebounder or the massage would help Quoting: Boomber 79010677 Yes, absolutely. If it's only "slightly" you could turn that around pretty quickly (within a week-ish?) depending on your overall health. But let me tell you a little home remedy that works for me every time. (I regularly check the lymph nodes that are just under the jaw bone, upper neck.) For me, this is an indication that a virus or other pathogen is trying to overtake my immune system and my lymph nodes are letting me know. Viruses proliferate in the Eustachian tubes of the ears, which are very close to those lymph nodes I mentioned. So when something is trying to overtake the immune system (get you sick), those lymph nodes are the first to let you know (in my humble opinion). EDIT: forgot to mention that sometimes people notice a tickle in their throat....that is a good time to check to see if those lymph nodes are enlarged. The first thing I do is get some hydrogen peroxide (HP) and a clean, dry, empty spray bottle (super cheap, easy to find at grocery store or drug store). I've used just regular 3% HP that I got from the drug store for about $1.50 but I prefer to use food grade hydrogen peroxide, which is more expensive but has other benefits, including cleaning your fruits and vegetables, etc. SO I take the HP, pour some into the clean, dry, spray bottle (I fill it up about half way on the 6" size spray bottles). I grab a few tissues, and sit down (this is Important). With my head still upright, I spray 3 or 4 sprays directly into my ear and as I'm spraying the last one, I begin to tilt my head to a 90 degree angle. So the ear you are treating would be facing up toward the ceiling and the ear you are not treating would be facing down toward the floor. (SO sorry for all these details; but there may be a youtube video on it?) Yes! It's going to be bubbling and feel funny for a few seconds! Just stay there as long as you can, even if it's only for a few seconds. When you are ready to expel the HP from the ear, take a few tissues and put them up to the ear you are treating. Then (as quickly as possible) reverse the position of the head so that the ear you are treating is now facing down to the floor. You will feel the HP leaving the ear. Those few sprays are only equal to a few drops, so it's not going to be a lot of liquid coming out, just a few drops. But you don't want it dripping onto your clothes or hair! It's REALLY important to do this properly, however, let me add, IF you cannot get the moves down correctly and therefore get the HP drops out of the ear, it's not that big of a deal. it may feel weird, or like your ear is clogged. don't worry! it will evaporate eventually. Maybe have someone read these directions to you as you practice in front of a mirror BEFORE you try it with the HP? Just a suggestion of what works for me. I'm not a doctor, I don't sell anything. Just sharing information that has helped me in the past. If you do the Rebounder regularly (3-5x per week minimum, for at least 10-20 mins each time, super easy to do) you can help your lymph in a Pro-Active, Preventative way. The HP protocol is something I do when I am traveling and don't have access to a Rebounder, for instance..... ok....shutting up now! Hope this helped!!! I have been using an inversion table daily for 15yrs. Simple walking is great too. Years ago I worked at a thrift shop and we would see those small trampolines quite often. I would make a point to mention the health benefits of trampolines due to their effect on the lymphatic system, and I would add in a bit about the possible cancer-fighting effects some say it has hoping they would remember that if/when cancer touches someone they love. |

Several times over the winter they would start feeling itchy, painful or clogged. As soon as I noticed it I would start treatment with coloidal silver, oil of oregano, and mega doses of vitamin C. Big fan of the peroxide drops also. Was able to avoid getting sick all winter this way, which has got to be a first for me. I felt a difference when I did it everyday. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 17657641 Dry brush massage is excellent, and it's really helpful for detoxing. Skin is the largest organ, and it excretes a lot of toxins. By clearing away the dead skin while revving up the circulation with dry brush massage, the pores can release even more garbage. |

Its a pretty fun course. I dont recommend breathing through the mouth though as that has been scientifically proven to be terrible for the body. Read a book called "Breath" which goes into detail of the science behind breathing from your nose and how important it is to sleep with your mouth shut (taping). Anyways, if you do decide to check out the Wim method. Try doing his exercises with a slight modification, breathing in through the nose. |
