also consider Chasidy that mother birds (and other animals).. sometimes know something is wrong... and reject the baby... just preparing you.. I don't know how blue Jays nest and if its easy for a baby to fall out.

Wishing you well in you endeavor..:hugs 1:

Make sure it has somewhere warm so it does not dye
Google how to feed it
Or take it to a Vet, they might just kill it.

I use to bread love birds, it really needs a mother right now to be fed 15 times a day.

If you want it to live you need to learn how to feed it and keep it warm, it will love you guys forever.

Let your pet bird do what she wants to do.

She knows better than you.

its a male pet bird and he has to regurgitate to feed it. I don't want him catching anything from this baby. He's been practicing for months with his dummy eggs.

yeah be careful wild birds usually covered in mites. Keep it away from your Cockatiel.

Call the Audibin Society for a bird rehab place

Leave a small HEAVY dish of water - the ones I caught turned it over and got all wet

Keep it warm overnight

It CAN and WILL fly out of a box I found out - put it in a bin with holes for air and put the lid on

I raised a little one from that size years ago.
I bought fishing worms and mill worms and cut them up and fed him with tweezers.
Be careful with the heating pad. It's really easy to over heat them.

Good luck little guy!

It will be a pretty "full time job" for a bit with you needing to feed it like every 20 mins while its awake.

Good luck, keep us posted!

I learned a lot from the article linked in this thread. Thanks to whoever posted it (I can't read on this reply screen lmao) but you're talking about a fledgling vs a nestling. this is a nestling. did you even look at the picture before you replied? imagine if they took you at your word and treated a nestling as fledling (f-something fledgling sounded nice lol)

Do you know what kind of bird it is. I can ask the Breeders forum I belong to for more advice. When you feed him keep an eye on his crop (under his neck) if it starts to swell gently rub it some the food goes inn its stomach.

Alive and mean, I played rough with her when she was little and she's a mean little ass now. Saw her picture on the screen and attacked it lol.

She rules the flock, we just live her and feed her.

Just remember to feed it every two hours.
We did this with a Robin once.
Gave it oatmeal and wheat germ oil.
Turned out to be an amazing bird.

GLP sure has a lot of dicks.
