This is not necessary true by any stretch. Anorexia is equally a mental health issue. Mental health issues do not necessarily mean a person is in their right mind in order to avoid self-abuse. There are other forms that have nothing to do with eating disorders, such as hair pulling, cutting, drug addiction, etc.


This depends on the cause of their obesity. If it is due to certain chemicals and other toxic environmental factors,, then they are victims, though not willingly nor with their knowledge.

If they are obese due to medical issues not related to environmental factors (toxins, etc), then they are not victims at all. If they are obese due to their own mental health issues, this is also not a victim type issue.


Yes, but some do put forth very proactive efforts to change their situation. If someone is actively trying to not be this, while they are not a victim, they are a survivor of sorts. You only see a momentary glimpse into their situation by seeing the obesity. You do not see their efforts nor their weight loss or weight gain unless you see them on a regular basis or know them personally.


Not all obese persons do this or fall into this trap. Though if a person has underlying health issues, they may need the spot regardless of their weight. You can never judge the reason a person is obese the moment you see them. For example, pre-eclampsia can look like obesity, and typically, a person can go back to their weight after the fact, but would need the handicap spot during the issue and possibly due to whatever autoimmune conditions they may have/have had before and/or after the pre-eclampsia. You don’t know how long lasting an issue like that is.


You sound angry. If this is simply about the parking space and you are the type to drive around and around to get the closest space, you are also likely to wind up obese. If you park further away, back of the parking lot, you will never need to waste time driving in circles, you’ll park faster, and might even get in the store quicker than otherwise. In this scenario, a fat person parking closer becomes irrelevant as you park further away for your health.
