i think floyd ultimately died of an OD, but chauvins indifference to his limp corpse, and hauling him off like a rag doll at the end of the video is likely the real source of fury.

and honestly it is pretty contemptible. he seemed to have no regard for his life, junky or not.

You cant even restrain a junky resisting arrest cause they might die of 3x lethal dose of fentanyl and meth and its your fault.

I honestly do not get the appeal of being a cop in today's America.

The government hates them. The media hates them. Celebrities hate you. Minorities hate you. The list goes on.

I mean, where else can you deal with the dregs of society, possibly get yourself killed on a daily basis and all for lousy pay??

And the real bonus is that every split second decision you make will be second guessed by people in power who want to see you lose your job and go to prison.

You can't kill someone by placing your knee on the back of their neck/back. Only way they die is if there is soemthing wrong with them, like having health issues or a cocktail of drugs in their system.

"Restraining" my ass. If the police around ENTIRE world is able to apprehend suspects without 'restraining' them and occasionally 'accidentally' killing them, you should be able to do so.

you say "placing" your knee except the video shows he was putting his full body weight on floyd's neck. that's not simply "placing" your knee. if you compress someone's neck enough you can cut off airflow.

whether or not floyd had health issues is not the point. pinning someone down by their neck is not an approved method of restraint for the police.
