I am going to be blunt and honest, and I have told police officers this to their face.

I am not afraid of ordinary criminals because I know I can defend myself, but when police approach me I am afraid for my life.

I know my life is never in any greater danger because I am fully aware they can and will shoot me for little or no reason, and get away with it.

I also know any attempt to defend myself will undoubtedly be used as an excuse to justify deadly force on their part, and unless it is caught on multiple videos from several angles they will get clean way with it.
