They have lepors disease, tuberculosis and several other diseases all transferable to humans Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76509910 That is absolutely not true. Now Armadillos, yes. It certainly is true except the disease they spread most is bubonic plague which makes them ten times more dangerous |

Quoting: Happy in Nature I was at my computer one night listening to the cat eating kibble - except my two cats were on the table, watching me. I turned around and saw a huge possum eating food from their bowls inside the house. That's awesome! I had one on the porch the other night crunching so loudly I could hear it inside the house so I filmed him eating cat food lol. I really like possums, they get along so well with the feral cats. 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 ESV Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? They are still babies, if the mom's body was still there they could have been different babies that more recently emerged from her pouch. It is true that you can use cat food...or kitten milk replacer if they are tiny. But please do look for a wildlife rehabber to take them to. Your local SPCA or veterinary clinic should be able to direct you to someone. |

Opossums cannot carry any disease that harms man, due to the fact they are Marsupials, very cool blooded creatures, Opossums are world renowned for being one of the few animals that cannot even carry rabies, their blood is too cool for the rabies to survive, also, Opossums are completely immune to all poisonous snakes in North America.. And they eat ticks |

I don't think you want to sleep with one under your pillow, no telling how long it was there I found out my power animal is a skunk when I woke up in the middle of an intense dream (after a week of native American medicine ceremonies) to find a skunk sleeping in my feet. (I was sleeping in an exposed casita in the jungle.) A few hours later, it was sleeping against my arm. Two hours later, a huge black bird landed on my shoulder (I was sleeping on my side). I later discovered thd crow/raven will appear with the power animal. I had recently separated from my husband. The skunk is about drawing boundaries. I felt empowered. |

Can’t you contact a wildlife care center to take them? They can be super sweet btw. I have a friend that raised two and they were adorable, snuggly, and loving. She had them for years. Best thought is rehab and being relaxed back into the wild. |
