Taking the family to watch the rocket go up tomorrow. Where can we park? How early do we need to get there? If anyone knows please post.

Appreciate the post, but I'm looking for first hand advice. Can't visit all of those sites, not sure how early to be there either.

If you want the best spots, your best bet is to get there tonight and camp out overnight. Crowds for manned launches are always insane. Anywhere along the river in Titusville should be good. Port Canaveral is shutting down a bunch of options due to concerns about COVID and crowds and stuff:

Playalinda beach will be closed. Jetty Park will be open but you have to buy a pass ahead of time and they only open it at 5 am, barely enough time for the crowd to file on in. I wouldn't try that.

Honestly, the anywhere along the river in Titusville on US1 is your best bet at this point, unless you can find a spot to book a reservation on a tour boat to get out on the water to see it (assuming you don't get sea sick). I'm betting the tour boats are already booked up at this point.

Wow he cranks them out pretty fast. The last test launch he stuck the landing, then it exploded.

They do crank starship prototypes out fast (you forgot the last one actually exploded in mid air), but for clarity, this is a crew dragon launch on a Falcon 9, not a starship prototype. The last crew dragon launch was about 6 months ago and this new crew will relieve the current dragon crew.

Managed to book a hotel at Cocoa Beach. Is that close enough, or should we head out earlier and find a spot on the river?

I don’t want to see it go up: I want to see it come back down and light on its base. Lololololololo

It'll look nice from cocoa beach, but titusville would be a little closer. You can see it come off the pad from the river on us1. I'd get out there soon to get a spot if you're going to go that way.
