It's like that one Cramer interview with that "girl" CEO.

The flying car was originally a group of hot shots, some graduated from MIT, who got together and made a flying two seater that was a street legal car and then had automatically unfolding wings so the car became a plane. It had a propeller on the back. It needed a runway to take off and the driver had to have a pilot license.
The next generation was a four seater and the wings unfolded from the bottom of the car, under the doors, from a space where they fit flush, and extended had two Osprey type engines (I believe electric) that lifted the car up to flying altitude, then flipped forward to fly, also with a rear prop.
After the plans for these two cars were suggested, the company sold out to the Chinese, I am thinking because of lack of funds and necessity for more manufacturing power. I was sad when they did that.
