but getting good bud at weed shops is very cheap,

I live in California and marijuana is legal here. I think this is the right step on the part of the authorities. The weed would still be sold illegally. And now there is an opportunity to somehow control its sale and purchase. However, the quality of marijuana is still not very high. Having tried both kinds of edibles as in from the cannabis shops vs homemade, homemade are far superior. Better and LONGER buzz.

Cookies and brownies. Decarb 1st. Then add coconut oil to ground decarb'd cannabis. There are plenty of videos on youtube.

I've tried them 3 times, different types, and the most I got was I think my eyes got a little itchy..?

First time, I had 4times the dose my buddy had that he said had him on the couch for 3hrs.

If you use it in food - put a "handful" in a full pot of boiling food ( beans is great and my favorite, but any meal with something greasy will do, oils are a great solvent ! ). So after cooking it with the whole time process of meal preparation the food tastes great and the effects are magnificent ( have to be generous - that's why I said a handful, but a couple of grams will do as well ) and long lasting. It's like XR ( extended release ) and the high is deep, full mind-body and soul rejuvenation that lasts for hours. And it is very healthy, really rejuvenating.
Ah, and if you want to make it a blast just take a puff or two( or so :D ) within 30-40 mins after eating the infused food.

There is a huge misconception that you won't feel shit if you eat raw/non-decarboxylated canna
Of course it metabolizes in a different manner, and acts/effects differently, but still - the statement that it won't do shit is just wrong, not true. I've had tons of non-decarboxylated canna, including raw picked fresh buds and leaves, and it is wonderfully wondrously miraculous. Of course, it takes some moar in terms of quantity. But I can never resist the urge to pick some fresh pinecones when around some flowers.
