DC is nothing but a carved-out government zone, like a military base. It is neither a true city nor a true state.

The only reason you guys are complaining is because they vote Democratic. If DC voted red you'd all be cheering about how US citizens are finally getting representation.

Personally, I can't think of anything less American than arbitrarily disenfranchising millions of people purely based on how they vote. If DC doesn't want to vote Republican, then that's the Republican Party's problem.
