714 - does it have any meaning?

Obviously showing my age, but for me, 714 is ingrained as the number of home runs Babe Ruth hit.
That record stood from 1935 until April 8, 1974, when Hank Aaron broke it (lots of media attention at the time).
Aaron topped out at 755 runs and is in second place. Ruth is still in third.
The all-time home run leader is Barry Bonds at 762.
Quoting: CTU.Agent Sgt. Joe Friday's badge number was 714, said to commemorate the number of career home runs hit by Babe Ruth, one of Webb's heroes. It is also said to be from Webb's mother's birthday (July 14). "Dragnet" reruns were titled "Badge 714." Oh yeah - forgot about that. But that also wasn't a show I watched that often. I was way too young for the original (wasn't even born yet for half of the season). Wasn't all that interested in the late '60s reboot.
