I set up a dedicated phone without service, just wifi, for a couple of wallets for stuff that can't be stored on Atomic or Exodus desktop wallets.

It was Bullzilla who turned me onto Coinbase Cold Wallet App, it is different than Coinbase app.

You can download the Coinbase Wallet App and use it without having a Coinbase account.

You have your keys, it is a self custody wallet.

If you decide to link it to your existing Coinbase account, it integrates in some pretty clever and useful ways.

I was able to send my TEL Telcoin off of Bitrue to the Coinbase Wallet (took a haircut on the way off Bitrue).

You can swap ERC20 tokens within the wallet. So I was able to swap for ALBT in the wallet. You have to have ETH to do this, but it is easy to buy it on Coinbase and send it to the wallet for the ETH gas fees for the swap.

Also got the Guarda wallet for XDC.

Coinbase Wallet makes it look like they can hold XDC, but everyone says do NOT send XDC to Coinbase Wallet, you will lose your XDC.

If I already wrote all this in this thread forgive me. We are all in a crypto waiting mode so you ought to use this time to secure your coins off of the exchanges in whatever way you feel comfortable with.

I did not go with the hardware wallet option, I have a dedicated laptop with Atomic and Exodus and Brave Browser and I only use it for crypto and it's offline when not in use.
