Rumors Airline Industry Shutting Down in June/July...
Don't know specifics, but airlines run on logistics and key parts of the system are shutting down...ie, provisions normally made months in advance in normal times arent being made...and time has run out.

Looks like hoarding cash mode to hunker down.

I remember china in the months before the covid in march 2020 showed scenes much like what is coming out of india today.

Same shit, different year.

Anyone else in the industry hearing anything

It may be possible this is all being coordinated.

I have been in aviation my entire life...I am around people that have as well. Something is seriously fucky.

No one in aviation bought the 737 MAX fiasco. That was not what was presented.

But in aviation, supply line logistics are everything.

No Jet-A, not going.
No spare parts (many from china) not going

Oddly, much of the supply chain is being sucked up into china. They also took over a lot of the D level maintenance and engine overhaul.

I was just talking about this in another thread. The goal is to end ALL travel unless you are an "elite". The rest of humanity that survives what is coming will be crammed into megacities and not allowed to travel unless the "elite" deem it necessary which they won't.

They will only have a few of these cities in the US and the world alike and the Earth will be left as it is. If you think you can avoid it by bugging out, no. They will have a system of drones, robots etc which patrol and scan the woods, jungles, caves etc for human life and will be programmed to terminate it on sight.

There is an article on 0 hedge this morning that there is literally no shipping from china to us. Freight costs have doubled. I watch this because when cargo ships get filled like they are today, the overflow often goes by air at great costs. not seeing any of this being absored by the airlines presently.

Doesn't relate directly to my point, but maybe the airlines just see the writing on the wall and are acting on it before its too late.

It certainly looks that was from this end.

If I were shutting down a business thats how I would do it. Stop ordering long lead time items and run out the inventory. Dont invest in new systems or r and d type stuff

What kind of structures are you building?

I'm sure the airports will continue to be used for military or whatever...I am referring to commercial airline traffic for the plebes.

I'm sure the elites and government personnel will continue to travel.

nothing to see...family member is a pilot, they are having trouble hiring and staffing since Covid-19. With flights increasing since less lock downs, the ones layed off make better pay on welfare than going back to the airline industry. My family Delta pilot said...there will be future delays and cancelations just because of staffing. She said, you will see and hear about it, when it causes many delays and canceled flights because of no crew or staff to support flight operations. (Cleaners, Maintenance, Baggage, Wheel Chair Support, ticket agents, flight crew, taxi service, and so much more)

Same is the case for many businesses just starting to get back to normal. Government made it too good to go back to work. We need Trump back!

Its going to be interesting, but no doom, just some pains.

There is always a backstory to explain everything.

But it's never the real reason.

Sure, as flights get cancelled and things shut down, the story might be pilot shortage or whatever, but is that the real reason?

All the inflation in all industries is explained for specifics within that industry...shortage of shipping containers, delay of lumber to market etc etc, but the REAL reason is the collapse of the petrodollar.

Your pilot friend isn't seeing the side of the industry I work in, but they are saying the same thing. Disruptions, cancelled flights incoming. But it's not a bump in the road...its a scheduled shutdown..and the permanent shutdown isn't going to happen in one day like with covid. Its going to grind to a halt as the pipeline is emptied

Thanks OP! And also for the intel on this thread. Q2-Q3 look to be the start of real trouble for financial as well. This summer will probably be worse than last summer. Lockdowns are coming, they are just trying to figure out how to make them stick...everywhere. States like Florida, Texas, and Oklahoma will not got quietly into the night this time. I expect them to become "virus targets" one way or another to help force compliance.

like I said earlier, it is going to be a grinding down, coupled with regional stops...like flights to india cancelled frees up hardware for more valuable/important runs without making it obvious. Like delta pilot said...lots of reasons given for the interruptions but none the real reason.

There were lots of accounts of people unable to return home as the pandemic unfolded. Going to be a lot of that from what Im seeing
