What's the problem?? Are you serious?? You don't think it's a problem when all news and opinion is filtered by the government to keep us from coming in contact with any information that isn't approved by them?

I guess we deserve what's coming.

You guys realize that when this bill takes effect we may no longer be able to access and post on GLP?? The apathy makes me sick!!!!v
 Quoting: KeepingItReal

I think people don't understand how that would work. How would they block access to GLP. Concerning if they can.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78185020

They can't. This isn't social media, this is a private club. You 'signed' a contract with check marks to enter. Not the same as twat, gob, parlour, frank, fb, etc.
If you are not busy weaving your own magick, you are trapped in anothers spell.

You should be fed up but down here its almost the same remember we have a demented pedofile 47 year politician fraudulently elected so take your pick. North and South of the NAborder is got shit on it.

Latest news though Formula 1 just announced that the only race to be canceled this year is in Canada, Montreal to be exact. Formula 1 said no thanks to the 14 day quarantine. The only place on the 21 race schedule canceled because of insane government overreach. Just think how much money is lost and by canceling a week long event like Formula 1. OOOOOh Canada.

They had to merge the health regions because metro Vancouver has parts in Fraser Health and other parts in Coastal Health regions and many people live in one and work in the other. But it's an advisory only and police are NOT enforcing because it isn't their jurisdiction to do so. They enforce laws, but an advisory is not a law. The province, which oversees the health regions has no power to police or enforce their recommendations. So the new situation in BC is scary on the surface, but toothless.

Yes as someone who lives in the BC interior I have a huge area to roam around in while someone who lives in Vancouver like Dr. Bonnie Henry can still get to their condo in Whistler where the hotspot is. So pointless and toothless.

Yes. The advisories and restrictions are toothless, they only serve to upset people and make it look like Bonnie and her department and the government is doing something.

If Whistler is a hotspot it isn't because people were coming up to ski. It's because staff housing has 4 or more people sleeping in bunks in a one bedroom apartment. If one gets infected working front lines, they are all exposed. That's the part nobody wants to talk about, and the fact that it costs an average of $500/month for a staff member to secure a bunk in a one bedroom.

If China where to 'assist' Canada at Trudeau's request, cities would be a snap for a military lockdown.

Any battles would be unpopulated areas, like yours.

'Natives' could be a third column for China/ Trudeau.

Calgary Court Issues Warrant Permitting Police ‘To Do Anything Necessary’ To Enter Pastor’s Church, Arrest Him
"permits law enforcement “to do anything necessary” to arrest him, imprison him, and drag him before a judge."
"The warrant goes on to specify that if there are any “reasonable grounds” for law enforcement to believe Pawlowski or anyone else has violated the court order, they are permitted “to forthwith arrest that person, restrain him or her and bring him or her at the earliest possible time before a Justice of the Court of the Queen’s Bench to show cause why he or she should not be held in contempt of Court[.]”

Also stipulated is that an individual shall not be arrested unless they have been given the opportunity to comply with the order."

Yeah, as I said in an earlier post the police whether they be OPP, RCMP or city police do not have the jurisdiction to enforce the restrictions unless they are codified and typified in law which these restrictions are not. Most are already overtaxed dealing with enforcing actual laws, keeping the peace and dealing with overdoses. They don't have time or resources to do this and as stated in the release, it would contravene the constitution which they are sworn to uphold.

I hope this doesn't prompt Mr. Dressup to invoke special powers to involve the military since the police are not going to arrest people over covid "violations".

Not only that, we are still admitting "refugees" and giving them housing, school, medical, welfare and they even qualify for credit cards and new cars upon arriving. But I can't walk in a forested park or on the boardwalk without a mask. The diner up the street can't open, but the Burger King next door can.

They were just announcing they are considering the emergency act/martial law as well as they're rolling out the military already even if it's supposedly to help the Toronto hospitals lmao. The universal basic income is being talked about in Parliament as well as the new bill to stifle free speech online is about to come into play. New World Order will start in Canada as I kept saying.
