I've worked two jobs since the start of covid first being a Walmart. I've personally seen over 150+ people test "positive" for covid and have maximum a headache besides ONE old lady with lung shut down and hospitalization but she's fine as far as I know today.


Both places of employment managers call testing positive a two week vacation.

I hope people realize the virus can be real and a real danger AND AT THE SAME TIME, the reaction by the government is an incredible overreaction.

It's also completely true that there are a lot of false positives and those skew the perception because these people have no symptoms, which makes it looks like COVID is a joke. But for people who actually contract COVID, it's not a joke.

Incidentally, I know at least 2 dozen people who have tested positive for COVID. Most of these people only got tested AFTER having symptoms appear, so less likely to be false positives. Most had mild symptoms, but in the group, there are:

One 40 year old man (fit and healthy), hospitalized
One mid 40s woman who still has labored breathing after over a month.
Several mid 40-50s people who were not hospitalized but called it one of worst experiences ever. Several still have lingering symptoms of fatigue and mind fog.
One 19-y.o. fatality in India (just a few days ago)
Several elderly fatalities in India (last two weeks)

I just wish people would stop with the "COVID is just the flu" diatribes. It's not just the flu. It has a seriously damaging illness that you do not want to get.
