Long story short; it's more lucrative for the workers who process raw timber into usable products to stay home & get free checks than go into work and actually do something. |

I think it has something to do with the agriculture bill right now and sad to say America is not the highest bidder for goods produced anywhere right now. Probably what is happening is countries with better deals with the US (trade deals) are buying goods and importing them from the US and sending them to you know where. |

I'm sure the price increases have nothing to do with a large company buying all the lumber Mills in the pacific northwest and then telling the town those Mills are in to lower taxes drastically or we will shut them down . So they idled Mills creating a bottle neck which makes prices go sky high as they blame covid for the problem. Now I heard rubber is next on the list .. better buy tires soon or pay more later.
