Since this site isn't different from social media where they shadow ban certain people, Trinity denies it but it happens here more than most think and it needs to stop. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79761929 There's a lot of auto banning at GLP, but it's mainly a way to generate paid subscriptions. However, I believe some users have been banned for political reasons. The religious fanatics ban anyone who opposes their rhetoric. He's the next President if he runs, screw Trump having him as VP.He is an action man, not just talk and he's pragmatic. Of course you can't please everyone and the right wing zealots will always complain he's not far right enough but he's everything you could ask for. Smart, a military lawyer, Ivy league educated , Governor of a successful state, upholds personal freedoms, well spoken and polite when needed. He's their worst nightmare, he would kill in debates, kill... Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80062619 He's going to lose his reelection in 2022. He barely won in 2018 and hasn't done much to gain new support. Laws like this and his anti-protest bill are not popular outside of the far-right bubbles like GLP. |

It was just there so I could make 1 or 2 comments on news sources. Then my brother hung himself in January, I decided to get the account going and talked about his suicide and my opinions on the George Floyd case, and ... everything was fine. A week or two passed and I bought an Oculus Quest II, my first experience with VR gaming. I was denied being able to create an account, told I was banned or some such rubbish, I thought their site was just messing up. After buying, I went on Facebook and found out I was, indeed, banned. I never received an email notice of it. I never received a caution for posting anything that violated T&C. Because Oculus is owned by Facebook, they have locked usage of it to a Facebook account. I tried to get my purchase cancelled right away, but they didn't respond before sending it. They told me I had violated T&C, but no specifics, and that if I wanted a chance in hell of getting it overturned I had to provide a picture of myself for them to even review my case. I don't have pictures of myself, I hate taking them. Tried getting Oculus to assist but they didn't, and eventually I succumbed. The ban was overturned, but I'm sure I dodged a bullet and got an employee to evaluate who was sympathetic to free speech. I removed all my posts and am never posting on Facebook again. I'm just keeping it so I can use my Oculus Quest II. Also Facebook can be assured I will never buy an Oculus game through their store if everything I buy can be invalidated if they don't like something I post (which by the way, were only facts found in the Floyd autopsy report). Anonymous Coward User ID: 61782544 United States 05/03/2021 01:40 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It does literally nothing for people previously banned. Its only if youre running for public office. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77679119 It's literally just a do nothing show bill. A certain person was pushing for changes in the bill but it got ignored and he got put on the no fly list. It's to protect GOP candidates. This is a good bill since the Democratic Party has made it obvious that Big Tech works on their campaigns for free and when they need negative press suppressed. The left/right paradigm is dead in many parts where GOP(RINO)/Dem candidates are no different from each other, but in FL, the party lines could not be more distinct. The Florida GOP is still "The Establishment", but they are being made to recognize and codify America First policies from Governor DeSantis. Today's Florida is an example of the government actually working for the people. |

It must allow the GENERAL PUBLIC to use its general services. That's why Christian stores are forced to bake cakes for FOeGGOTS, if the store is in the cake business. Because, if a business advertises as OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, then it can't arbitrarily discriminate against the public - unless there is a law on the books allowing said discrimination. It will only affect people who are running for office or in office and limiting their discrimination to only two weeks at a time. This is another example of 'weak and sniveling response" from the right. Desantis needs to make it binding on all residents of Florida, not just political people. The game is simple, the so called conservatives throw crumbs at the masses and tell them it's a full dinner. Trump did it too. Both sides lie and conservative is bad about selling bread crumbs as dinners. Just because left wing media lies doesn't mean right wing media tells the truth. Stops them from banning "people" that is a bold faced in your face lie by omission to make it sound better. It only stops them from banning people running for office and politicians. All they doing is saying, we are more important than you and selling you on getting nothing for the normal citizen. |
