The British version (2013) was much better.
In the first episode of the American version, they are walking through a bar, and some guy in the background randomly shouts out "Covid!" This was in 2018. Also, a girl says "Good old Artemis..." but she mumbles it a bit and it sounds just like "Coronavirus."
A great quote from the British version:
"We don't need a real pandemic - we just need the fear of a pandemic."
They talk about over-testing PCR tests to inflate numbers, and putting something in the food to react with the vaccine (Monsanto, much?)
I was blown away after watching it. So obvious.

People shouldn't bother watching the US version unless they saw the UK version first, and only then to see what a weak job was done with the story and the characters. If you want to see what's happening right now lain bare before your eyes in 2014, then you need the UK version.
