In a street fight it would be 'the 3rd man in' and/or 'piling on'. On the net when you pick up a troll there is usually a friend that will chirp up and support the stupid idea he is promoting. Piling on in a chat forum is when 10 or more such people all voice support without adding anything 'real' in support.
