As ever, if this is what they are releasing publicly then who knows what they actually have.

All the patents alone by Nikola Tesla have never been brought to fruition...His whole life was spent seeking money to manufacture his portfolio...We would already have AI and wireless power if Wardenclyffe tower was brought into operation...

They would need some kind of quick release mechanism so he can fling off the gloves real fast. But what if he accidentally activates it 50ft in the air?

He needs some kind of utility belt, otherwise what is he transporting? We have all means of communication devices, so he must have a mission where being there physically is essential...Can't fix anything without tools...

Probably only carries a couple of minutes of fuel...Adding weight will only reduce that, and munitions are very heavy...

Reminds me of shooting clay pigeons. For a non-combat application I think it is a good idea, but when bullets start flying, the operator will have severe pucker factor to consider. Plus if the bad guys ever hit the fuel source.....BOOM!

I dont think that is the plan I think they are just showing the value of this technology. Picture 30 of them launching of a ship to take the next ship. Down side you are a sitting duck unless cover fire is happening.

When I did VBSS boardings all we carried was a handgun. 1 member had a shotgun. Boardings are not meant to be hostile, and when they turn hostile you egress

They don't shoot at boarding parties .if they did you would call in special forces and let them handle it. Coming over in a little RHIB boat is quite the sitting target as well. Flying in like this saves a lot of time and the inherent dangers of crossing over and climbing aboard

Boarding parties are looking for contraband. They are search teams. Yes they can handle an unruly crew member, but you usually know if they will be cordial long before you board

When i think "Marines", I think of people you call in to kill things and blow stuff up, not police action. I think using the Marines as police in recent years was a mistake. The Marines are for killing.

Not in Britain, you use The Paras for killing. Marines think too much. Bloody Sunday for example.
