Go to trade school and learn an in demand trade. You'll always be employed at a good salary, be able to avoid debt and be able to barter your skills when the SHTF which will be soon.

If you're hellbent on college you can always pursue that on the side on a part-time basis at a local community college with the idea of eventually transferring to a bigger name school. But stay away from soft useless subjects like fine art and English and sociology.

Everyone I know who majored in these is either unemployed or unhappily employed in menial jobs with no perks. Most are broke, in debt with student loans and living with mommy.
