Found along the surface a 200m stretch of eroded riverbank. Pictures are in-situ and in hand (third one picured after having been rinsed off in the river):

That would be an extremely high concentration for that type of paleolithic tool. I would lean more towards a geologic explanation such as water and tumbling erosion of a softer stone.

Thought I'd offer my opinion. But sorry man beyond them being unique in appearance I don't believe them to be handled and worked by hands. And the word your looking for is knapped. I'm sure you had a good time out there though and that is as fun as finding relics sometimes.. And a hint to help ya when searching.. When you start seeing knapped flakes of rock in an area you're in a good place.

Take them to a local college/university-geology dept. As well as send pics to those who work in the field of paleo stone tools.
