Although NSW was Elijah's target, Victoria and Queensland unfortunately had to suffer the collateral damage, as they will again shortly when Elijah unleashes with some real arse kicking via the 7 Spirits. |

meras User ID: 343272 United Kingdom 12/21/2007 04:00 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This intense and rapid release of heavy rain was typical of the summer in the UK where we had flooding. We have to look at the water cycle which is driven by the sun:- [link to en.wikipedia.org] |

As in "Shitbag", Arkansas, as opposed to "Shitbag", Louisiana. You get my drift, I'm sure, and a Merry Institute to you all. |

allaaaaaaaaaaan User ID: 343424 Australia 12/21/2007 04:18 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | well it was mayhem on the roads, but i think everyone judges the severity in terms of how the infrastructure copes with the deluge.Honestly it was just a torrent of rain and an overhead electrical storm. maybe it just seems more extreme after a prolonged drought.Probably we go back to the drought now for another few years, then a big rain for a day or two |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 341854 Australia 12/21/2007 04:26 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The weather really is weird down here in Mt Gambier (Australia, on the boarder of Victoria for you Americans). It might as well be the middle of winter, been pissing down for the last 24hrs, and doesnt seem to be getting any better. This definatley is not normal this time of year, in general the weather is getting more extreme, yeah the droughts been going on forever, but Australias a big place. |

THE DOOM
User ID: 324260 Australia 12/21/2007 04:40 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Doomed down under..... Sounds typical of Australia...dry as a bone one minute..pissing down the next. The weather HAS been getting weird here though. I remember back in the 80's here in Brisbane Queensland...in the summer months from December till feb...at exactly 4 o clock in the afternoon..every afternooon..there would always be a storm. Now..its sporadic..and the storms are getting worse. |
Ossie bloke User ID: 340778 Australia 12/22/2007 04:22 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Stay tuned to this thread folks. The next 24 hrs could be very interesting. I don't normally do weather forecasts but this is looking very serious. Snow, hail and rain causing infrastructure to be crippled. A miserable existence for those unfortunate enough to survive. Don't you remember Pompei and Herculaneum? Hey DOOM, I have out-DOOMed you. |

Ossie bloke User ID: 340778 Australia 12/22/2007 07:15 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This US Base in WA linked with Pine Gap and whatever others, are bad stuff, I remember at least 7ys ago reseaching a beam that was spotted coming from this place Quoting: Dances with Moonbeams:wabase2: :seeker: I lived a few km's down the road from this array. There are radiation warning signs surrounding the array. Man, the place humms with electricity. Great diving, great surf and big sharks. The synoptic scale setup here explains things to some extent as concerning the weather disaster unfolding in SE Australia. It is an example of meridional phase flow. This is not bizarre people....it's nature doing its thing. We've (modern man) only been keeping weather-history for a couple 100 years (out of billions) so.........what the hell do we know what's normal and what's not? Facilitating The Flow |
