I grew up in the 70's but my parents were older, they lived WWII..it so was do different from today. Everything now has a heaviness to it that eats at my soul.

I grew up in the 60's & 70's and now it seems such an idyllic time.

There was a level of civility and class that has completely disappeared from the world today.

It has come from good people being silent and complacent as the moral fabric of society has been slowly eroded. We have been desensitized to all forms of degeneracy and in general, there are no consequences for bad or even violent behavior. It is the death of the civilized world and it is very sad and hard to watch.

People used to revere their elders and they would love listening to their stories. I know many of us still (I do.) It's too bad that our elders aren't treasured like they used to be. The people that were born in the 20's, 30's and 40's have seen the best of America - and if still alive - the worst of America.

I was there.Everything started to go to hell the day after the defeat of Goldwater in 1964.And fast.Boys to vietnam,mussies and hindus flood in.Thanks to LBJ.

America has seen extreme demographic changes since the 1965 immigration reforms.

There is a reason the US, Canada, Australia and NZ are different from Guatemala, Nicaragua, Jamaica, Indonesia or Bolivia - its not the soil or the air its the values and culture.
