Steve Vai is a truly gifted guitarist... no question about it. Much of his stuff mimics what Eddie did, but has his own spin on it. I actually enjoy some of the Vai solo stuff, as it is super creative. Luckily, he's still alive. I truly miss Eddie, and it sucks that he went dormant for so many years. But, I was glad he was able to get back with Diamond Dave and create another record before he passed on. R.I.P. EVH.
