So the Pipeline hack benefits who exactly? The new green deal people by preventing Americans from driving their gas powered vehicles. 2) Who profits from the pipeline hack? Amazon with their fleet of electric trucks, they will be delivering everything you need directly to your door. The Post office as well. Anyone pushing electric cars, trucks, and TRAINS or anything to do with green energy! 3) meanwhile Americans are being isolated even more than during the lockdowns because now you cannot drive anywhere because there is no fuel. And the government controls the flow of gas. It's the greatest conspiracy theory so far of 2021...

These are robust closed loop systems, meaning you load the program then disconnect,...similar to Ardunino and raspberry pi. Should not have accessible from outside. All critical infrastructures like shipping ports, power companies, pipelines and refineries are part of the FBI....INFRAGUARD program. Between INFRAGUARD and CISA, this kind of cyber attack should not had happened.. I say this smells like curry and I bet it really is an inside job done by the mad idea of farming all IT work overseas.

They just serve as a middle man because they retained the PLC engineers on site as well. Sometimes cause more trouble than it’s worth.

If the PLC is dumping data to PI or other historian for remote monitoring systems to use then there is a interface from the PLC to the network either synchronously or asynchronously. PLC data is very often used outside the collection point because data from multiple PLCs is often need for other processes/people to make decisions. But I agree, things aren't what they seem. Backups, DRP? rebuild if it really was hacked...due to the amount of downtime, I'd say not hacked, but intentional.
