Hydro is being used everywhere it allows for profit. Someone has to make money, or it doesn't make sense in a monetary based capitalistic economy. That's the problem with a lot of the electric "solutions" offered. I doubt the cost of an electric car is going much farther down, and if fact I'd wager they'll get more expensive. I'd say 10% or less of the people who are "drivers" now will still be driving in 5 or so years. All estimates of course, but I've done a LOT of research.
