About 15 years ago my dad - who could be labeled a religious zealot and often crazy sounding in his beliefs - implored my sister and I go up and move to Russia - so yeah we didn’t give it any real consideration because it was just one of dads crazy ideas but now I see my dad may have been on to something and perhaps we shouldn’t have dismissed it so quickly. Yes I suspect the picture we see of Russia is not an accurate one.

Well actually Germany exported communism to Russia. Russia had a civil war to try and stop it, they lost. Russians never wanted communism, it was forced.

The cold war because those taxes sucked.

Russia has alot of problems. Crime, corruption, lack of infrastructure outside of big cities. Most people are poor. Economy is taking a hit with all the sanctions.

That being said, its mostly sane. What you see is what you get. Compared to the liberal hellhole the USA is becoming, Russia doesn't seem so bad.

See, when there is corruption in the Russian government, everyone knows about it, the average citizen is not ignorant of whats going on.

When the American government rigs an election, most Americans eat it up like sheep. They're blissfuly unaware.
