Dr. Heiser adds nothing to any doctrine. This is not kooky "add on" type stuff. He is a true scholar and doesn't tell you what to believe - he actually teaches how to draw your own conclusions. Here's a hint - it isn't by doing a "word" study or anything like that.

He also has a pretty amazing view on the other gods in the Bible. He uses scripture to backup his belief of something he calls the Divine Council. Basically - the idea that there are lesser/other gods on planet earth and they are all part of of a council of divine beings.

Someone else to look up is Tim Alberino. He mentions the divine council and that Man is to be included on that but we have subjegated our power currently but will regain our seat at the table when Jesus returns.

He also goes on to mention how aliens easily fit into the biblical narrative. Theoretically - angels (should be translated as messengers) are actually aliens by definition.
