OP... I agree. But I also think there is another component.
The gospel CAN be, implemented into our lives, and it can be a mental thing.
This usually comes by having things in your life, that you must do.
Thinks you kind of have on a check list, this can be something that is done, even without us knowing it, we just do it, we don't even think about it.
In a way these things are kind of our way of "helping Jesus" keep us right with God.
This is not intentional, in fact we would protest, if anyone even suggests suck a think. Preachers protest this all the time, yet LOTS of people do it.
Some of these things are thinks right, have faith, profess correctly, read the bible, go to church, have faith, be under the right leadership, follow OUR doctrines, witness to someone each day, pray, fast, tithe. ETC.
Now these same things, done with a proper motive, or inspiration, are good. We must as the New Testament says, be His followers...."If You Have Learned (been taught) of Him
