They're doing exactly the opposite of what should be done.

The vaccinated are protected against symptomatic disease only, and are much more likely than the unvaccinated to be a walking asymptomatic covid spreader.

The right thing to do at this point would be to have the vaccinated continue to wear masks, and allow the unvaccinated to drop theirs.

Alternatively, regular random testing of the vaccinated would allow there to be an understanding of risks and spread. Again, they're doing the opposite of what they should be doing here as well.

Normal vaccination controls disease through stopping spread and if the covid vaccines behaved like normal vaccines all of their actions would be correct.

But they don't behave like normal vaccines. Everything they're doing is wrong. Notably, their insistence on universal vaccination (ie, not just vaccinating the most vulnerable) is making things worse, not better.

We'll find out in the fullness of time, but not before we've put our vulnerable at enormous risk once again.

If we're lucky we won't also be putting our vaccinated non-vulnerable at risk.
