Starting this morning, even though I have ad blocker and have never had to be bothered by ads since I installed it, every video I try to watch starts with an ad. I can't just do a playlist and listen while I do other things, because I have to click to skip the ad at the beginning of each video before it will play.

Word is that content creators won't make any revenue from these ads and even creators that have been demonetized or have opted out of monetization will be subject to these ads. This will affect small content creators like cat videos as well as huge creators like Pewdie Pie and Styx.

One more step towards the demise of good content on the platform.
