(OP) User ID: 69637911 United States 05/25/2021 07:49 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I will start with gathering up my immediate family and warning my extended family. 1st Security. If you can not save yourself then everything is lost. 2nd Money. Most everything can be bought if society has not fallen to pieces. 3rd Shelter - Car but you may be forced to abandon it on route so you need more shelter. 4th Water filtration. You cannot carry enough water with you and need to find local supplies. 5th Food and forage. Jerky, Energy Bars, etc. Small and easy to take but long term you will most probably need to grow your own food so seeds. 6th Energy - Fire, USB battery packs, etc. 7th Sanitation - Need a place for waste to go. Shovel, bags? Just a start. Achduke |

Then you can bug out in minutes instead of hours? I do have this stuff in my car. I also want to see if I am missing anything. I store everything in my flat trunk crammed in with the spare tire. Including a shovel. Achduke |

If I abandon my car I am not pushing a cart. Maybe if I had a bike and I could tow a wagon or a cart but I think walking and back packs are the best route to get out of dodge if your car has to be abandoned. I do have a folding bike which is actually pretty good but I do not keep that on me at all times and it takes a lot of room unless you put it on top or in a trailer. Achduke |

Low IQ individuals such as yourself offer no value to serious discussions other than platitudes and obviously simple solutions. Keep it civil or you will not be contributing. Achduke |

Bug in whenever you can but you do need the alternative in drastic situations. Living in a city could be a disaster when the SHTF. Achduke |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 76351658 United States 05/25/2021 09:10 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This is an exercise in stupidity. No one is going anywhere. WHERE would you go? How will you live? How long will you stay where you are? Or will you need to keep moving around? If you are not "skilled" in living in the wild, or hunting for your own food, you're not going to figure it out in a SHTF scenario. How would you deal with all the hoardes of crazies running around trying to shoot, loot and hurt anyone who gets in their path? How far do you have to "run" till you feel you are "safe?" Prolly only one tank full of gas, cause you won't want to stop for gas. Oh, that's right, you're going to carry gas in gas cans with you! THAT won't take up any space in your already limited area to bring your stuff with you! Those of you with "plans to bug out," really need to think it through. It won't be FUN, it won't be "romantic," or flashy - like in some freakin' movie. It'll be about 1000x WORSE than Mad Max. Cause that was fake. This will be real. LIFE OR DEATH. |
